What Is Texas Home Visiting
Texas Home Visiting is a free parent-support program in our community. Local community partners help to improve the lives of parents and provide advice for developing healthy and nurturing family environments.
This program is for expectant parents and parents with children 5 years old and younger. It provides tools and resources for everyday parenting challenges such as:
- Soothing a crying baby
- Taking care of more than one child
- Preparing a child for kindergarten
- Managing stress
- Preparing for a job and/or continued education
“The program has helped prepare me for motherhood. I still have a lot to learn and they continue to teach me more techniques and ways to become a better mother. They are always just a call away when I need them, even if it’s just a question. I trust that I am in good hands with this program.” -Claudia
